LTO Region 12 – Central Mindanao (SOCCSKSARGEN) Region

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 12, also known as the LTO Central Mindanao Region or LTO SOCCSKSARGEN, is one of the regional divisions of the LTO in the Philippines. Like the Central Office, this regional office also manages and oversees the LTO agencies in the cities and municipalities within the territorial jurisdiction of Region 12. The LTO branch agencies within Region 12, on the other hand, carry out the projects and enforce the LTO rules and regulations in the cities and municipalities within its geographical area of responsibility (GAOR). The LTO Central Mindanao (SOCCSKSARGEN) regional office, along with its LTO agencies, ensures that the Secretariat and its services are accessible, making it easier for both the public and the agency to work together towards a safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more affordable land transport service in Central Mindanao (SOCCSKSARGEN).

SOCCSKSARGEN stands for the acronym of the region’s four provinces and one of its cities: South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City. This region is the catch basin of Mindanao and is endowed with extensive coastlines, valleys and mountain ranges. It is also well-known for its river systems. It is one of the few typhoon-free regions in the country, but it does attract thousands of small scale miners as well as commercial explorers within its territory, making it an ideal spot for local government offices like the LTO.
