Bangued, officially known as the Municipality of Bangued, is a first class landlocked municipality and capital of the province of Abra. It has an elongated shape with a generally mountainous terrain from north to south and it sits in the western portion of the province. It has a total land area of 105.70 square kilometers (40.81 sq mi), bisected through the center with flat and rolling terrain that goes along the large Abra River.
