What is LTO Baguio?

LTO Baguio can mean either one or both of the LTO offices in Baguio. It might also mean the LTO CAR regional office which is coincidentally housed in Baguio City itself. Whichever it is, all these offices were put in place so the agency can offer better public service and make it more accessible to the people, in this case, those who live, work, or even simply frequent the locality of Baguio in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

By offering better public service, LTO strives to encourage the public to be more observant of the rules on the road and to ensure that their motor vehicles (MV), whether public or private, as well as their motorcycles (MC), are as roadworthy as the driver themselves. These mandates help keep the Philippine road as safe for everyone as it possibly can.

Where Is Baguio

Baguio City is a picturesque city of uneven and hilly terrain in the midst of Luzon’s tropical pine forests ecoregion, earning it the moniker “City of Pines.” Nestled in the Cordillera Central mountain range 250 kilometers (kms.) away from Metro Manila, Baguio City is landlocked within the Benguet province. Baguio City extends about 8.2 kilometers and 7.2 kilometers east to west and north to south from the city hall, and is bounded by La Trinidad on the north, Itogon on the east, and Tuba on both the west and the south. To date, it remains as one of the cleanest and greenest highly urbanized cities (HUCs) in the Philippines.

Baguio is reachable by land travel, taking approximately five hours by bus from Metro Manila. There are numerous public transport buses available, though you can also take a taxi or drive your own private car for your convenience.
