Tandag, officially known as the City of Tandag, is a fifth class coastal component city and the capital of the province of Surigao del Sur. It is located along the northeastern coast of Mindanao facing the Philippine Sea, with a total land area of 291.73 square kilometers (112.64 sq. mi). It sits about 200 kilometers (120 mi) from Surigao City in the north and approximately 331 kilometers (206 mi) from Davao City to the south.
