The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Marawi refers to the lone LTO office based in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur: the LTO Marawi City District Office (DO). Like the other LTO branches in the Philippines, the LTO Marawi City District Office was also created so the agency can offer fast, convenient, accessible, and affordable LTO services to the people. With the LTO office in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, the agency can now better monitor and regulate the local and visiting drivers, car owners, and operators, as well as the official vehicle use and the entire land transport service in the area and within its geographical area of responsibility (GAOR). The agency, through this branch office, also maintains its presence in the local land transport sector, and ensures that its core programs and services reach the people—both drivers and pedestrians—whom they want to keep safe.
Marawi City, formerly known as Dansalan, refers to the city that serves as the cultural center of the Maranao – the “People of the Lake” – otherwise known as the Islamized indigenous group best known for their myths and legends, and sophisticated wood and brass artworks. It is also known as the “Summer Capital of the South,” a nickname it shares with Malaybalay, in part due to its higher elevation and cooler climate. The city serves as the port area for the ships and was known for its towering mosques, rows of large concrete houses, cultural and art centers, and busy commercial streets, making it an ideal location for a local branch of government offices like the LTO.
What is LTO Marawi?
LTO Marawi refers to the lone LTO office stationed in the City of Marawi in Lanao del Sur: the LTO Marawi City District Office (DO). This LTO office serves as the frontliner of the Central Office in the local area, tasked with offering the various LTO programs and services within the reach of the local transacting public in the City of Marawi. It is through this office that the LTO brings its core programs and services as an agency, consequently making them available and accessible to the locals who need them, particularly those who work behind the wheels.
LTO Marawi City District Office (DO)

This branch office also offers cheaper and better LTO services, bringing closer the activities and campaigns of the Secretariat in an effort to keep the people safe on the road without having them spend so much time and money to do so.
