The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Mabalacat City in the province of Pampanga is made up of a set of two LTO offices: the LTO Mabalacat Extension Office (EO) and the LTO Mabiga Extension Office (EO). These LTO offices were created to serve the city and its people by extending the agency’s operations. They also ensure that these services are accessible and convenient for the people residing in the local area of the City of Mabalacat and its geographical area of responsibility (GAOR). The LTO Mabalacat Offices are created in hopes of making the LTO more effective in making their operations more accessible and their regulation stricter so the public can be rest assured of their safety on the road.
Mabalacat, as a city, shares the same goal as the LTO branch offices in Mabalacat: To serve the rest of the citizenry using its advantageous position. As the undeclared gateway to the neighboring provinces of Northern Luzon, including Tarlac, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Nueva Ecija, La Union, Bataan, and Zambales, Mabalacat is the perfect place to house the LTO offices as it would help make the agency more visible to the local motorists, drivers, and car owners who need to keep up with the rules and regulatory policies of the agency.

What is LTO Mabalacat?
LTO Mabalacat refers to either one or both of the LTO offices stationed in Mabalacat City: the LTO Mabalacat Extension Office (EO) and the LTO Mabiga Extension Office (EO). Just like the LTO offices in other parts of Central Luzon, the LTO Mabalacat offices were operated to manifest the agency’s efforts and to bridge the LTO programs and the people they serve—including the drivers and car owners in Mabalacat and the neighboring areas. These LTO offices were meant to carry out the agency’s mandate and make the LTO core programs and services—including the registration and renewal of motor vehicles (MV) and license and permits applications and renewals—more convenient and affordable to avail of, especially for the people who work behind the wheels or those who can’t afford to take the time off to travel to another place for their LTO-related needs.
