Where is Batac City

Batac, officially known as the City of Batac, is a 5th class component city in the coastal province of Ilocos Norte. Dubbed as the Jungle City, Batac is also known for being home to “great” leaders and mouth-watering Ilocos empanadas. It also serves home to the LTO Batac District Office which serves the over 55,000 within its 43 barangays.

Geographically, Batac is a landlocked city northwest of Luzon island. It sits on a place about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from the eastern shores of the South China Sea. It is about 470 kilometres (290 mi) from Metro Manila and 17 kilometres (11 mi) from Laoag, the provincial capital of Ilocos Norte. The city is bordered with the Municipality of San Nicolas on the north; Municipality of Sarrat on the northeast; Municipality of Marcos on the east-northeast; Municipality of Banna on the east; Municipality of Pinili on the southeast; Municipality of Currimao on the southwest; and the Municipality of Paoay on the west.
