LTO Dapitan Office Location and Contact Information

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Dapitan is the only LTO office in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte: the LTO Dapitan Extension Office (DO). It was designed to offer fast, convenient, and affordable service to the Dapiteños in the city. With this branch in place, the LTO keeps tabs of the local and visiting drivers, car owners, and operators in line much more easily while they are in the city or within the city’s geographical area of responsibility (GAOR). After all, the LTO is designed to enforce rules and regulations and to watch over the roads and other land transport service providers and ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians in Dapitan City.

Dubbed as the “Shrine City in the Philippines,” Dapitan City is also often considered the capital of the Mindanao Island. It is the home of the famed Rizal Shrine, which continuously attracts both domestic and foreign tourists, as well as Gloria’s Fantasyland, the first-ever amusement park in Mindanao. The city is also an attraction by itself. Imagine this: Concrete and well-paved roads, stretching into the expanse of clean, beautiful beaches in the coastal barangays. These, and more, makes Dapitan City a frequent destination both for local and foreign tourists, making it a great location for both business and government offices in the region.

What is LTO Dapitan?

LTO Dapitan refers to the lone LTO office stationed in the City of Dapitan in Zamboanga del Norte: the LTO Dapitan Extension Office (EO). Like the other LTO offices in the country, the LTO Dapitan Extension Office literally extends the reach of the agency, allowing it to offer the programs and services of the LTO Central Office to the people it intends to serve. It also works the same way as the Central Office, offering the same LTO programs to the local transacting public, but at a smaller, more concentrated scale. Through the LTO Dapitan Extension Office (EO) in Gloria Dapitan, Dapitan City, most of the LTO core programs and services—including the registration and renewal of motor vehicles (MV) and license and permits—are made available to the Dapiteños who work behind the wheels at a more convenient, more affordable, and easier LTO experience.

As the lone LTO office located in Dapitan City, the LTO Dapitan Extension Office (EO) is also the only place for the agency to engage with the locals in the area. Their programs, activities, and campaigns are also localized for fast and efficient public service. It’s also there to remind the public that the LTO is watching over the safety of the roads, vehicles, drivers, and pedestrians in the City of Dapitan.

LTO Region 7 – Central Visayas Region

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 7, also known as the LTO Central Visayas Region, is one of the regional divisions of the Secretariat. Like the LTO Central Office, the LTO Central Visayas regional office was tasked to manage and oversee the local LTO agencies within its territorial jurisdiction. In turn, the different LTO agencies in Region 7 carry out the projects and enforce the LTO rules, regulations, and policies in their specific areas of responsibility. The LTO Central Visayas regional office, along with the LTO agencies under it, was created to bring the agency closer to the people, consequently making it easier for both the public and the agency to work together towards a safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more economical land transport service for the residents and visitors in the area.

Despite being the sixth smallest region, Region 7 (Central Visayas) is home to some of the country’s most magnificent beaches, many dive spots, and historic landmarks, as well as the charming Chocolate Hills and the diminutive tarsiers. Its most popular religious cultural event is the Sinulog Festival which is celebrated every January. Because of these attractions as well as the region’s potential for development, Central Visayas has long become one of the most favored regions for businesses and government offices alike.
