LTO Region 7 – Central Visayas Region

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 7, also known as the LTO Central Visayas Region, is one of the regional divisions of the Secretariat. Like the LTO Central Office, the LTO Central Visayas regional office was tasked to manage and oversee the local LTO agencies within its territorial jurisdiction. In turn, the different LTO agencies in Region 7 carry out the projects and enforce the LTO rules, regulations, and policies in their specific areas of responsibility. The LTO Central Visayas regional office, along with the LTO agencies under it, was created to bring the agency closer to the people, consequently making it easier for both the public and the agency to work together towards a safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more economical land transport service for the residents and visitors in the area.

Despite being the sixth smallest region, Region 7 (Central Visayas) is home to some of the country’s most magnificent beaches, many dive spots, and historic landmarks, as well as the charming Chocolate Hills and the diminutive tarsiers. Its most popular religious cultural event is the Sinulog Festival which is celebrated every January. Because of these attractions as well as the region’s potential for development, Central Visayas has long become one of the most favored regions for businesses and government offices alike.

What is LTO Region 7?

Central Visayas Region, officially designated as Region 7, is an administrative region in the Philippines.  It is home to four provinces: Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor; and three highly urbanized cities: Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu, and Mandaue. These provinces house various LTO agencies within its jurisdiction and these agencies are what is collectively known as LTO Region 7 (LTO Central Visayas Region).

The regional center and largest city in Central Visayas is Cebu City—a first class highly urbanized city (HUC) in the Central Visayas region. As the seat of power in the region, Cebu City also exerts influence on commerce, trade, industry, education, culture, tourism, and healthcare both in the region and beyond, up to the entire Visayas and partly over the Mindanao region, making it a great place for public service offered by government offices like the LTO.

Mission and Vision of LTO Region 7

Like all the other main subdivision and frontline agencies of the LTO, the LTO Region 7 also operates under the guidance of the same mission and vision as that of the LTO Central Office.

It is the responsibility of those involved in the public service to be more vigilant in their part in the overall development scheme of the national leadership. Hence, promotion of safety and comfort in land travel is a continuing commitment of the LTO.

Vision

To be a frontline government agency showcasing fast and efficient public service for a progressive land transport sector.
