LTO Toledo Office Location and Contact Information

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Toledo refers to the set of two (2) LTO offices in Toledo and Balamban in Cebu: the LTO Toledo District Office (DO) Licensing Extension office in Balamban and the LTO Toledo District Office (DO). Like its counterparts in other places, these branch offices are opened to serve both the locals and the visiting drivers, car owners, and operators who might have LTO-related needs while in the city or within the premises of its geographical area of responsibility (GAOR). With these branches, the LTO not only makes it easier and more convenient to reach them, but also makes the agency more efficient in watching over the safety and development of the land transport sector in the area.

Dubbed as the “Copper City,” Toledo City is well known as one of the most progressive cities in Cebu, with its main industries resting on the mining, trading, agriculture, and fishing activities in the area. It also houses a handful of power providers in the Visayas region, earning it its moniker as the “Power City” in the area. These, and more, makes Toledo City a favored location for business and government office developments, prompting them to set up offices in the city. LTO happens to be one of them.

LTO Region 8 – Eastern Visayas Region

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 8, also known as the LTO Eastern Visayas Region, is one of the regional divisions of the LTO. Just as the LTO Central Office manages and oversees the LTO regional agencies, the LTO regional offices manages and oversees the LTO agencies in the cities and municipalities within its territorial jurisdiction. In turn, the LTO branch offices in the cities and municipalities carry out the projects and enforce the LTO rules, regulations, and policies within their geographical areas of responsibility (GAOR). The LTO Eastern Visayas regional office, along with the LTO agencies under it, also hopes to bring the agency and its services closer to the people, consequently making it easier for both the public and the agency to work together towards a safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more affordable land transport service for both the residents and visitors in the regions.

Home to dazzling white-sand beaches and astonishing coral walls, the world’s smallest mammal, and the world’s biggest fish, Eastern Visayas (Region 8) is the aqua heart of the Philippines. It occupies the eastern coast in the central section of the country and is home to the famed San Juanico Bridge—the longest and most graceful-looking bridge in Southeast Asia which connects Leyte and Samar. It is also known for being the site of some of the country’s historical events, including the first Christian mass in Limasawa Island and the world’s longest naval battle in history, the World War II Battle of the Leyte Gulf or the famous MacArthur landing in Palo, Leyte. Because of these, the region has its fair share of opportunities, which attract businesses and government offices alike.

What is LTO Region 8?

Eastern Visayas Region, officially designated as Region 8, is an administrative region in the east central part of the Philippines. It is home to two main islands, Leyte and Samar. It is divided into six (6) provinces, namely: Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, and Southern Leyte. These provinces house various LTO agencies within its jurisdiction and it is this set of LTO agencies that makes up what we know as LTO Region 8 (LTO Eastern Visayas Region).

The regional center of Eastern Visayas is Tacloban City—otherwise known as the  “Home of the Happiest People in the World” and the “Gateway to Eastern Visayas.” It is not only the largest, but is also one of the fastest growing cities in the region, rightly making it the urban, economic, and the distribution center of the region. Though it houses the seat of power in the region, the LTO regional office is housed in Palo, Leyte—the site of Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s landing upon his return with the Philippine and American military forces during the Second World War. It has such a great story, which made it a great site for government offices like the LTO.

Mission and Vision of LTO Region 8

It is the responsibility of those involved in the public service to be more vigilant in their part in the overall development scheme of the national leadership.
